We love cities: to live in, to work in, to wander around. Or to escape, during summers, when the countryside draws us to green landscapes and fresh waters. But how can we make our cities and regions sustainable for the future? How will they be climate proof, biodiverse, just and enjoyable for everyone to live in? Let's do some City Talk!
In this edition, Erwin van Tuijl, post doc researcher, will be telling us about the role of installers in the post-industrial industry. In the evolving energy landscapes of modern cities, there are unsung heroes: installer firms that install, maintain and repair the backbone of our energy and heating infrastructures. These drivers of the urban environment play a crucial role in realizing the energy transition. In his research van Tuijl places these essential figures at the centre of the discussion and explores how digitalisation and urban policies and -facilities impact their daily work. Join this online talk and join the discussion.
